Conservatism in Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and Good Morning, Vietnam
Nobody talks about Conservatism anymore! It feels like it's all either goose-stepping or Anarchism these days. But I don't like neonazis, and I also don't really understand how either the internet or culture in general would work sustainably under Anarchism without literally everyone subscribing to an identical ideology that maintains itself perpetually without any ostensible power structure. Can't we just talk about things like normal people? Like people used to before our fridges needed USB ports to fix their internal computers in case their WiFi gets messed up? I mean what the hell did I even just write? None of these sentences are in the essay, and I don't talk about Anarchism at all.
